This is the second installment of the AVPN Opportunities in Gender Lens Investing: Indonesia series, with a focus on women entrepreneurs. In partnership with Investing in Women, an initiative by the Australian government, this series will highlight the importance of gender lens investing for building resilience in Indonesia following the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2012, he decided to use his experiences as an entrepreneur to help other entrepreneurs driven by their purposes to create sustainable impact for the environment and communities. This has led him to develop experiences in supporting and working with various kinds of social purpose organizations in Indonesia and abroad. He co-founded Instellar to accelerate social innovation through incubation, advisory and investment in mission-driven companies. Instellar works with international development agencies, corporate and impact investors to run incubation and acceleration programs, and various social innovation projects with partners from Australia, Korea, Thailand, Japan, and Europe. He graduated from Iowa State University.

Before her tenure in Educourse, she worked INDONESIA GLOBAL EDUCATION NETWORK I-GEN (Indonesia Global Education Network) is an organization that provides Event Organizer MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) service and Technology Support under PT. Maleo Edukasi Teknologi. She also was the Director of marketing and business development in Sekolah Repoeblijk, Social Entrepreneur focused on education in business administration for foreign labor workers who worked in South Korea.

Sara Dhewanto is a Fintech founder with 20 years experience in business and finance. Previously Finance Director/ CFO at Millennium Challenge Account Indonesia; responsible for managing USD 600 Mio funds aimed at reducing poverty in Indonesia through economic growth.
Previously had a 10 years career with ExxonMobil and was consistently ranked in the top tier in performance appraisals every year. Last position was as Manager of Financial Planning – Head of Treasurer’s Dept. at ExxonMobil in Indonesia.
