About this event

The Tri-Sector Forum is an annual event organised as part of the Singapore Management University’s (SMU) School of Social Sciences’ Tri-Sector Initiative.

This initiative provides thought leadership on the burgeoning phenomenon of cross-sector partnerships, creating the hub for cutting-edge thinking on collaborative governance.

To this end, the Tri-Sector Initiative conducts rigorous research and extensive convenings such at the Tri-Sector Forum, and though its unique Master of Tri-Sector Collaboration (MTSC) Programme, seeks to professionalise the practice of partnership and provide emerging leaders from businesses, governments and civil society organisations with the skills and knowledge to become collaborative leaders who create high impact partnerships to tackle the world’s big problems.

We cordially invite you to save the date for this year’s upcoming Tri-Sector Forum 2017.

The event will kick off with a Keynote Address by Mr Sunny Verghese, CEO & Co-Founder, Olam. Chairman, Human Capital Leadership Institute.

This will be followed by a Panel Discussion with Mr Sunny Verghese, CEO & Co-Founder, Olam. Chairman, Human Capital Leadership Institute;  Ms Melissa Kwee, CEO, National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre Singapore; and other panellists to be confirmed.

Thereafter, 3 short presentations by MTSC students followed by detailed Breakout Sessions on the following capstone topics:

  1. FinTech & Clean Energy in the Philippines
  2. Transforming Singapore’s Urban Food Production: Visioning a Shared Future
  3. Incarceration and Reintegration
