The gap between the supply and demand for grant funding is widening as the incidence of humanitarian crises continues to rise – whether it be due to disease, war or the impacts of climate change. This pressure on donors necessitates an innovative approach if we are to meet this demand. In this training, we will uncover how blended finance can be applied to crowd-in private capital to help bridge this gap.
Over 2 hours (120 minutes), this interactive seminar will consist of two parts:
- Part I: A panel discussion amongst global influential leaders in humanitarian response and their proven use of blended finance tools, the challenges and opportunities with this approach.
- Part II: Two case study presentations will demonstrate real life examples of investments into humanitarian response.
As always in our member trainings, participants will be invited to engage directly with the Convergence team as well as expert practitioners in the field to better understand the challenges and opportunities for blended finance for humanitarian response.
Registration is complimentary for members, using the promo code HUMAN2022. Each Convergence member organization has two complimentary seats to each training.
Non-members can register for a fee of USD 150.00.
