From Barriers to Blueprints: Advancing Access to Healthcare
Access to healthcare is an integral part of human life and dignity. Marginalized populations become more vulnerable when their locations become ‘hotspots’ for ‘super-spreaders’ like dengue. To create a paradigm shift in the health system, it is imperative to have a multi-stakeholder approach involving government, CSR, donors, technical experts, and community representatives, that addresses different barriers instead of creating parallel systems. This discussion will explore the recommendations derived from state-level engagements in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, to form a national-level cohesive roadmap to scale access to healthcare equitably, especially for communicable diseases such as dengue. |

Improving Access to Medicines in Southeast Asia: Collaborative Pathways Forward
This session builds upon the foundational work of the Southeast Asia Access to Medicine Summit 2025, which identified five pillars for improving medicine access across the region: (i) championing inclusive systems, (ii) collaborating for innovation, (iii) enabling policy transformation, (iv) elevating community voices, and (v) demonstrating progress. The closed-door, invitation-only discussion and workshop will bring together diverse stakeholders to translate these insights into actionable strategies while addressing the unique challenges of the Southeast Asian region, including demographic transitions, disease burdens, regulatory fragmentation, financing, and environmental pressures that impact healthcare delivery as well as access to essential and innovative medicines. |
