About this event

In India, one woman dies every 12 minutes due to complications arising out of pregnancy and childbirth. Women in India continue to be plagued with inadequate – and often inaccessible – health facilities and services, unsanitary infrastructure, a lack of respect and dignity, and it’s time to change this.

White Ribbon Alliance of India brings to you its first-ever WRAI Photo Contest 2021: Hamara Swasthya, Hamara Adhikaar (Our Health is our Right)

An opportunity for you to put your lens on women’s health and rights. All you have to do is capture an image that shows how women’s health rights and entitlements need to be placed in the centre of things. An image that holds attention on quality, access, proper healthcare services and treatment of women. Capture an emotion, interaction, activity, a woman seeking maternal health services or a service provider delivering them.

Whether you’re an amateur, a professional photographer, or just have a phone camera, the #WRAIPhotoContest2021 is OPEN TO ALL!

While no amount can truly reflect the priceless emotion of a woman who has all her rights and entitlements, but a photo contest would be incomplete without declaring winners. Prizes worth INR 36,000/- are up for grabs! You can send up to 3 entries, which we will be accepting till 15th July.

So what are you waiting for? Head to https://www.c3india.org/WRAIphotocontest2021 for details on the prizes, theme for the contest, guidelines for participation, and submission of your entries.

Stay tuned to our social media channels (@whiteribbonallianceindia on Facebook and @WRAIndia on Twitter) as we will share some of the exciting entries.
