ARMMAN is an India-based non-profit leveraging technology to create cost-effective, scalable, gender-sensitive, nonlinear, systemic solutions to improve access of pregnant women and mothers to preventive information and services along with training health workers to reduce maternal and child mortality/morbidity. It addresses the underlying pervasive systemic problems; namely delay in seeking care and poor accessibility and quality of care and shifts focus from hospital-based care to preventive care for early identification, referral, and treatment of risk factors, thereby improving primary health care and referral system.

ARMMAN adopts a “tech plus touch” approach by leveraging the existing frontline health worker network of the government and partner NGOs and combining it with the ubiquity of the mobile phone to achieve scale cost-effectively.
