FAME India (The Foundation for Action Motivation and Empowerment), is a Not for profit organization founded in the year 2001 by Mrs Jamuna Raghavan and Mr N.S.Raghavan [co-founder of Infosys] with the simple intention of creating a happy place for differently-abled children with special needs that would enable them to lead a life of dignity and self-reliance.

FAME India, works in the area of neuro developmental disabilities including, both children and adults with Celebral Palsy, Mental Retardation, Muscular Dystrophy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder.

While it initially began as a school for children, the FAME group has grown organically beyond the scope of just a school keeping in view the growing needs of the various stakeholders of this particular community. The FAME group today consists of five entities including a Rehabilitation centre, Vocational training centre, Academy and an Outreach unit.
