HiGi Energy

HiGi Energy converts agricultural wastes such as coconut husks into charcoal briquettes and we serve the Korean barbecue restaurants in the Philippines. We manage the procurement and logistics for the fragmented small-scale backyard producers in order to standardize the product quality, meeting the needs of the 3-5% monthly growing trend of Korean barbecuing in the Philippines. Since inception in 2016, we have sold over 300,000kg charcoal briquettes. HiGi Energy envisions to ensure producers’ communities along the supply chain to be earning more than USD$7/day per person. HiGi Energy is awarded in Stanford University as the second best startup during GIST competition in 2016. HiGi Energy is featured in Forbes, Reuters and many other local media.
