Fields Data

At Fields Data, we envision a coordinated, efficient and transparent development & humanitarian community striving together for social impact. We believe that such a world would not be possible without the involvement of local organisations. Using a bottom-up methodology, we collect and share ground-level organisational information and combine that with publicly available information to create 4W maps – Who does what, where and when of operational presence.

We empower organisations by providing tailored data-driven solutions to facilitate informed decision-making.

Water and Life Philippines

The UNDP estimates that by 2050, 1 in 3 people will be living in a precarious urban neighbourhood. This means that access to essential services and the integration of these neighbourhoods into the city is the next urban challenge. Faced with this situation, local authorities often have only one response: eviction. Essential service operators, due to a lack of resources (human, material, skills and financial), do not want to intervene in these areas, where the piracy rate of their networks is 40% and the collection rate is barely 45%.

Water and Life Philippines (W&L) is a Filipino NGO that was created in 2009 to respond to the needs of people living in urban areas, focusing on the provision of quality water at an affordable price with a service adapted to their needs, capacity building and training in hygiene, environment and/or firefighting. W&L provides an adapted home water service through the creation of a social enterprise, Tubig Pag-Asa (TPA), which manages the water networks, ensures billing and guarantees the quality of water.

Asian University for Women

The Asian University for Women (AUW) focuses on educating and empowering women from marginalized communities across 18 countries in Asia and Middle East. It endeavors to provide talented women with the opportunity and training to overcome institutional barriers inflicted by biases against women. AUW seeks out women who demonstrate courage, outrage at injustice, and are moved by the woes of other people to join its multicultural and multi-faith campus for two years of intense preparatory work in English, Math, Information Technology and critical thinking skills, followed by an internationally-accredited undergraduate program. All students are encouraged to complete three internships and are supported in launching their professional careers in public or the private sectors in their home countries, or in pursuing graduate studies.

Native Species Reforestation Foundation

Native Species Reforestation Foundation (NSRF) was founded by a group of volunteer experts who dedicated 20 years to support reforestation and ectomycorrhizal fungi inoculation to enhance reforestation methodologies. Beyond conventional reforestation our approach holistically includes local communities and delivers social, economic, environmental and climate impacts through myco-reforestation.

We work with local communities, academic institutions, governmental agencies, and civil forest group to restore ecological forests with diversified native species and biodiversity, and to promote the application of indigenous mycorrhizal fungi and microorganisms in reforestation. We have supported to expand over 1,000 hectares of forest area across Thailand.

Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE)

AWARE is Singapore’s leading gender equality group. Our mission is to remove all gender-based barriers and we do this in three ways: research and advocacy, education and training and support services.

Since its formation in 1985, AWARE has carried out research into numerous issues affecting women, including workplace sexual harassment, care-giving, sexual violence, single parents and other vulnerable groups of women and Singapore’s compliance with the UN anti-gender discrimination standards.

AWARE has been providing a feminist perspective in the national dialogue and has effectively advocated against laws, public policies and mindsets that discriminate against women.

in 2020, more than 4,900 women in distress were supported by AWARE’s Women’s Care Centre and over 1,000 survivors of sexual assault were supported by AWARE’s Sexual Assault Care Centre. AWARE’s support services include the Women’s Helpline, legal clinic, befriending, counselling and case management services.

Komerce

Komerce is a platform that connects village youth with SMEs to optimize their business online. We are from Purbalingga, a small town in Central Java, Indonesia. There are not many job opportunities available; hence many people go to bigger cities to get a job. However, some people choose to stay at home instead of going to bigger cities because they lack relevant skills or they need to take care of their parents. This leads to a high rate of unemployment that causes poverty.

We believe that wherever we are, we have the same rights and opportunities to get a job. So, Komerce brings jobs to the village. We train the village youth so that they become skilled talents in e-commerce which opens up job opportunities for them as they are listed in our talent pool. We collaborate with SMEs that are looking for talents in e-commerce. By doing this, the village youth are able to secure a job and earn a salary without having to move to bigger cities. This will help to reduce poverty rates.

LUUNA Naturals

LUUNA is a purpose-driven women’s wellness company built between Hong Kong and Shanghai by a local women-led team.

Through ethical innovation and powerful thought leadership, we are redefining the traditional period care industry to help millions of women and girls in Asia improve their menstruation experience.

In doing so, we are creating powerful social and environmental change, ensuring that individual actions create long-term collective impact.

The Plastics Circle

PlastX is a General Ledger supply-chain platform for the responsible sourcing of recycled plastic in Asia: delivering competitively-priced, quality material to allow Brands to deliver on their packaging commitments.

With Brands increasingly committed to using recycled plastic in packaging, and a $4.2Bn (and growing) recycled plastic SHORTFALL in Asia, there is a market problem. Our solution addresses this market failure. PlastX, working with an in-country NGO partner, connects directly with Collectors, and aggregates at one level (Hubs) before transferring for processing. Material is tracked physically, digitally and financially. Collectors earn more. Brands get packaging that is compliant and brand enhancing. We get a cleaner environment.

PlastX has been successfully piloted in India, and we are in discussions for roll out in India, Thailand and Indonesia.

PlastX is a product of The Plastics Circle – a data-driven, CleanTech startup making plastic circular economy a reality.
