Foodness Asia is a social enterprise focused on improving nutrition for everyone through the use of fortified rice – adding important vitamins and minerals to ordinary rice.
Micronutrient deficiency, or “Hidden Hunger” affects 2 billion people across the world today. In Asia, the average person eats about 150 kg of white rice every year. Through the use of fortified rice, we can improve nutrition for everyone, in a cost effective, convenient, and delicious way.
Foodness Asia wants to improve the nutrition for high risk communities like migrant workers, low-income families, the elderly, and anyone at risk of Hidden hunger. Based in Singapore, we would like to work with partners across the South East Asian region to extend our reach.
