Shontoug Foundation is an indigenous, non-profit development-oriented institution which was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 21, 1989.  Guided by clear vision set by the Board of Trustees, Shontoug started to embark into integrated, wholistic and sustainable development projects.  Innovative, culturally-appropriate development strategies have been adopted anchored in sustainable growth and resiliency in the face of challenges of the times.  Within thirty years of facilitating the socio-economic development of voiceless, marginalized and disadvantaged indigenous upland communities, the children, youth and their families have access to education (formal and informal), improved their nutritional status and housing condition.

Shontoug Foundation is currently at the forefront of promoting indigenous development models in the Cordillera Region of Northern Philippines.
