Small Enterprise Development (SED)

Small Enterprise Development Co., Ltd. (SED) provides several micro financial services, such as group lending and individual lending, for low-income women and small-sized enterprises. Its key service is group lending that is operated through a women-founded village bank (VB) and aims to build financial management capacity for households and communities. With more than 30 years of experience, SED alleviates poverty of low-income families in Thailand and empowers women through sustainable lending programs.

Social Enterprise Thailand Association (SE Thailand) acts as the connector among members and between members and other organizations with the aim to enable Thai social enterprises to grow their businesses while tackling social and environmental problems. We also share knowledge around social entrepreneurship with the wider public. Our missions are to (1) build a network of SEs and foster collaboration between SEs and other stakeholders to enhance social and environmental impact; (2) communicate and create practical knowledge on SEs while raising awareness for the general public; and (3) advocate policies that contribute to solving social problems and creating social development through events, knowledge sharing, collaboration, etc.
