Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA)

The Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA) is a non-governmental organization registered in Thailand. It was established in 2001 to save lives from the tobacco epidemic by supporting the ten ASEAN member states to develop, establish, and enforce evidence-based tobacco control policies. Since then, it has continued to grow in tobacco control expertise and global influence.

Our work is informed by the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC), a global health treaty that sets standards to regulate the production, distribution, demand, advertisement, and use of tobacco. We provide technical/policy guidance to governments and advocates, lead advocacy, and coordinate knowledge sharing among countries.

SEATCA has twice received the WHO World No Tobacco Day Award and is an accredited NGO Observer to the WHO FCTC Conference of Parties.
