Universe Simplified Foundation

Universe Simplified Foundation (USF) is a non-profit working on making STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) education accessible to all. We work with 6th to 9th grade students in villages along the Kalyan – Murbad road on the outskirts of Mumbai.

Our “Innovation Hub” programme inculcates real life problem solving skills in students. Over a 4 year period, the students learn mechanical project making (using motors, solar panels, etc.), basic electronics, robotics and computers. Using these STEM skills, students address real life challenges in their local communities. Some of the projects built by our students are a low cost transportation vehicle, automatic hand sanitiser, an obstacle – detecting stick for blind people and a women safety buzzer system.
