Amani Institute

Responding to the widely recognized shortage of leaders in the social sector, Amani Institute's mission is to develop professionals who create social impact through a new approach to education and talent development. Our methodology comes to life in our award-winning Certificate in Social Innovation Management, which runs in Kenya, Brazil and India. This program has enrolled 375 Fellows from more than 50 countries and has been featured in Fast Company, the Stanford Social Innovation Review, Forbes, CNBC Africa, and Vanity Fair, among others. Amani Institute also specializes in developing customized training programs for foundations, universities, NGOs, and companies. Previous clients from around the world have included UNICEF, Ashoka, Vodafone, Deloitte, Georgetown University, University of Chicago, the US government s Young African Leaders Initiative, CARE, and Oxfam. We currently train thousands of changemakers each year through our varied mix of programs, and bring thousands to our events on 21st century careers, the future of work, and social innovation. Through developing individuals who have the knowledge, practical skills, vision, courage, and networks to take on major challenges, we build much-needed capacity in organizations leading social impact, thus enabling more effective operations across the field.
