CLP India is a wholly owned subsidiary of the CLP Group and is the largest foreign investor in the Indian power sector. Since 2002, CLP India has gradually grown its footprint and today has one of the most diverse fuel-mix portfolios in the country, including gas, coal, wind and solar.
CLP India has been operating a 655 MW Combined-Cycle Power Plant (PCCPP) in Paguthan, near Bharuch, Gujarat, since 2002. The company has also built a 1,320 MW super critical coal-fired power plant in Jhajjar, Haryana.
CLP India is committed to be the largest wind power developer in India with sixteen wind projects spread across six states, generating nearly 1000 MW. CLP India works with four of the best developers, utilizing a mix of varied technologies in its 874 wind turbines. CLP India forayed into solar power generation in 2016 through a joint venture with Suzlon in Veltoor, Telangana. Equipped with the latest tracker technology in the solar sphere, this 100MW capacity plant is spread across an uninterrupted 640 acres of land and has 3.75 lakh polycrystalline solar PV modules installed.
