Rikolto Indonesia

Rikolto Indonesia (previously known as VECO Indonesia) is a member of Rikolto International, an international NGO based in Leuven, Belgium. Rikolto (means harvest in Esperanto language) has been operating for more than 30 years in Indonesia to achieve a better deal for farmers. Rikolto tagline, What Will We Eat Tomorrow?, represents a crucial question for consumers, farmers, agrifood companies and policymakers to improve the global food system.

Our Mission:
Rikolto enables and supports smallholder farmers to take up their role in rural poverty alleviation and to contribute to feeding a growing world population in a sustainable way.

Goals of the Programme:
Sustainable sourcing of Coffee, Cocoa, Rice and Cinnamon from private sector enables the inclusion of smallholder farmers in Java, Sulawesi, Flores and Sumatra in agriculture value chains. Sustainable rice production of good standard quality that is benefiting smallholders and consumers.
