UNITED NATIONS CHILDREN’S FUND is an international inter-governmental organization established by the General Assembly of the United Nations by resolution 57 (I) of 11 December 1946 as a subsidiary organ of the United Nations, having its headquarters at 3 United Nations Plaza, New York, NY, USA. UNICEF works with governments, civil society organizations and other partners worldwide to advance children’s rights to survival, protection, development, and participation, and is guided by the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
