Action Against Hunger is a global humanitarian and development INGO founded in 1979 dedicated to ending world hunger. We have a global reach and operate as an international network comprised of 8 headquarters in France, India, Spain the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy. In 2024 we worked in 59 countries around the world.
Our mission is to save lives by eradicating hunger. As hunger has many causes, our approach is multi-sectoral and based on solid expertise to address the needs of vulnerable populations:
Nutrition and Health: Prevents, detects and treats malnutrition among the most vulnerable people.
Food Security and Livelihoods: Give access to sufficient food during and after crises
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene: Give access to safe water, and deploys awareness sessions on good hygiene practices and water management
Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) : Provide mental health and psychosocial support to individuals and their communities and improve child care practices and social link
Risk Emergency Preparedness and Response: Responding quickly with and for populations affected by crises.
Advocacy: Mobilize public opinion and influence political and economic decision-makers to tackle the systems that perpetuate hunger.
Intervention Research: Improving the quality and effectiveness of our field interventions
