ChildFund Korea

ChildFund Korea, established in 1948, is a leading child welfare organization comitted to the mission of “Creating world where children are happy.” It operates the largest support network for children in Korea, including 20 regional offices, 7 welfare centers, 6 foster care support centers, 5 child protection agencies, and 4 directly managed institutions. As a member of ChildFund Alliance, ChildFund Korea also supports children worldwide to grow safely and healthily, free from risks and disasters.

With the support of over 580,000 donors, the organization identifies and assists children in blind spots, advancing a society where no child is left behind. In 2024, it provided essential services in childcare, education, medical care, and housing, and led impactful efforts in emerging issues like young caregivers, child talent development, and online safety.

Notably, “The PILL-Board” campaign used symbolic medicine pouches to raise awareness of children caring for older family members. The campaign led to the identification of more than 2,240 such children across Korea. Through strong advocacy efforts, the organization played a key role in the enactment which passed the National Assembly in February 2025.
