Digital Green Trust is a registered charitable trust in India committed to leveraging technology and data to enhance agricultural livelihoods and build resilient farming communities. The organization focuses on improving small-scale farmers’ access to high-quality advisory services and strengthening farmer organizations to facilitate better access to markets and financial services.
Its approach integrates strategies to enhance climate resilience, close gender gaps—particularly in agricultural extension and economic opportunities for women farmers—and engage youth in meaningful ways. This is achieved through demand-driven content development, technological innovation, and capacity-building initiatives.
To date, Digital Green Trust has reached 4.7 million farmers in India. Randomized controlled trials have demonstrated a 24% increase in farmer incomes, achieved at one-tenth the cost of traditional extension methods ($3.50 per adoption compared to $35).
