The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) is a multilateral foreign chamber with a history of 46 years, enhancing economic ties between Europe and the Philippines. With nearly 800 members ranging from SMEs to major corporations, ECCP fosters mutual interests and sustainable growth across both regions.
ECCP is a leading advocate for improving the business environment by partnering with government, business sectors, civil society, and academia. Its advocacy includes drafting legislation, creating position papers on proposed reforms, and annually publishing a collection of Advocacy Papers. These efforts address crucial issues like renewable energy, transportation, and manufacturing, aligning with net zero goals.
Additionally, ECCP’s 24 sector committees focus on environmental sustainability, shaping policies to support a low-carbon economy. They promote sustainable energy, electric vehicle use, and greener production practices, developing solutions communicated through advocacy tools like letters and position papers.
This structured advocacy approach helps ECCP influence policy significantly, enhancing market access for European businesses and promoting economic and environmental sustainability in the Philippines. ECCP also organizes business meetings, trainings, conferences, and dialogues with government officials, reaffirming its dedication to key sustainability issues.
