Food Industry Asia (FIA) was founded in July 2010 by a group of leading food and beverage companies. From our base in Singapore, we seek to enhance the industry’s role as a trusted partner in the development of science-based policy in the region. Providing an important hub for advocacy and debate, We gather the food industry’s most senior business leaders to champion initiatives that promote sustainable growth and support regional policies that deliver harmonised results.
In 2015, FIA had initiated a multi-stakeholder platform in collaboration with the Health Promotion Board (HPB) in Singapore, Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR) and the Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences (SICS). This platform, referred to as The Asia Roundtable on Food Innovation for Improved Nutrition (ARoFIIN) enables collaborative action between governments, civil societies, academia and the industry to alleviate the dual burden of malnutrition in Asia by building trust through an open and honest dialogue among stakeholder groups.
A platform such as ARoFIIN provides an opportunity for the industry to showcase its proactive stance to deliver positive health outcomes to society.
