Established in 1950, the Hong Kong Red Cross is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and the world’s humanitarian network serving over 190 countries. We strive for a world in which people respect and protect human life and dignity, and where people are ready to offer impartial and voluntary aid to help improve the lives of vulnerable people. As part of the International Red Cross Movement, we dedicate ourselves to protecting human life, caring for the health of the vulnerable, and respecting human dignity, by mobilizing people to serve voluntarily for the cause of humanity. With services in four main areas, namely, “Emergency Relief & Disaster Preparedness”, “Community Health Service & Education”, “Humanitarian Engagement & Education”, and “Special Education & Rehabilitation”, we provide a diversified humanitarian platform for Hong Kong citizens. With a total of over 1.54 million direct beneficiaries in 2023/24 fiscal year, the Hong Kong Red Cross will continue to serve the community through its four major areas of work.
