Micro Empire has been aiding the development of Myanmar people in Micro Business since 2012. Their Executive Director and Founder Ryan Russell founded a boutique business startup and micro finance program in Yangon that helped hundreds of Myanmar people understand how to start businesses. That journey continues with Micro Empire.
In 10 years of working in Myanmar Micro Empire has concluded that people in Myanmar are wanting to put their future in their own hands. The business culture coupled with a gap in skills leaves many people stuck in the same job with no advancement. Most of these people don’t have the financial management skills or business experience to launch out on their own. We want to help these people to learn how to manage their finances, turn debt into savings, and savings into a new micro business.
Micro Empire focusses on Myanmar women and youth with their programs because they are the backbone of a healthy economy. They offer financial literacy and lean business startup education as well as acceleration and investment services for micro businesses.
Micro Empire believes there are people that need investment and mentoring. They have committed to accelerate and invest in several promising micro businesses a year to help them scale. These few micro businesses a year will get investment of between $5,000 to $10,000 as well as Micro Empire’s services in management consulting, mentoring, partnership acquisition, and supply chain development. Micro Empire does this through it’s newly launched M-BIZ Accelerator.
