The Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting and facilitating indigenous philanthropy for social development in Pakistan. Established in 2001, PCP serves as a bridge between the philanthropic sector, government, and civil society, aiming to enhance the impact, transparency, and accountability of charitable giving.
PCP is the country’s only government-authorized certification agency for non-profit organizations (NPOs), evaluating them on standards of governance, financial management, and program delivery. This certification helps NPOs gain credibility, build donor confidence, and access tax benefits.
Beyond certification, PCP engages in research, policy advocacy, capacity building, and advisory services to strengthen the philanthropic ecosystem. It also facilitates local and international giving through donor-advised grants, corporate philanthropy support, and partnerships.
Through its initiatives, PCP works to create a more enabling environment for philanthropy, empowering organizations to contribute more effectively to Pakistan’s development goals.
