Pijar Masa Depan (Pijar) is a non-profit organization that advocates the acceleration of a future-fit landscape against the backdrop of a rapidly shifting world and Indonesia’s ambitious goals, including Net Zero Emissions 2060 and Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
Pijar recognizes that changes require a catalytic environment. We therefore seek to foster change from all angles, by shaping minds, markets, and policies. Under the two thematic areas of Future Planet and Future Talent, our programs seek to elevate human capital, generate innovative products, and accelerate collaborative governance, where public, private, and community actors engage in meaningful partnerships for collective good.
Pijar Foundation’s portfolio includes:
- Future Skills: A super-app that promotes the development of skills for Indonesia’s younger generation with over 40 partners from the private and community sectors. Used by over 20.000 university undergraduates, courses equip students with the adaptability and competencies needed to thrive in the future.
- Lestari Innovation Accelerator: A hub connecting new ventures and technological initiatives. Through mentorships from innovators, corporate partners and market experts, Lestari strengthens new ventures so that they are fit for the market.
- Global Future X: A movement to catalyze collaborative public, private and community actions. Through three pillars – Insights, Talks, and Fellows – the program aims to elevate Pijar’s thought leadership on collaborative governance.
