The Singapore National Academy of Science (SNAS), established in 1976, is an independent umbrella organisation dedicated to advancing science and technology in Singapore. It serves as a national representative body for the scientific community and plays an active role in supporting research, education, and outreach.
As part of its mission, SNAS is committed to public science education and outreach. It actively promotes scientific literacy and curiosity, particularly among students and the broader community. SNAS also acknowledges and rewards excellence through initiatives like the Young Scientist Award (YSA) and SNAS Student Awards. On the international front, SNAS represents Singapore in key global scientific forums, ensuring that our scientific community remains well-connected, recognised, and aligned with cutting-edge developments worldwide.
