VIRI was established since 1997 by the Vietnam Ethnography and Anthropology Association, and licensed by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam. For more than 26 years, VIRI has been actively operation in the field of rural industries, VIRI has had extensive experience in managing and implementing numerous projects and practical research in initiatives in many related fields, including the following: consulting and training in regard to agricultural projects, consultancy for the private sector, economic development, trade and sustainable development, promoting circular economy business models within the private sector; providing support and advice on relevant governmental regulatory decrees and policies, supporting companies to identify and implement circular economy approaches, in-depth expertise in the field of green/circular economy/business development /design and innovation. Since 2019, VIRI has been an associate partner of the International Trade Center (ITC) Organization in activities of supporting sustainable production and consumption as well as voluntary sustainability certifications and market linkages both domestically and internationally. In addition, VIRI is also a member of The Global Ever Greening Alliance (GEA) and works with the vision of implementing massive land restoration programs, collaborating, learning, sharing and harmonizing across institutions, sectors and borders.
