Siam Organic

Siam Organic, a social enterprise supported by DBS Foundation, seeks to alleviate poverty among farmers in Thailand by bringing tasty and healthy organic Jasberry rice to global consumers. Farmers receive training in organic agriculture, learning ways to reduce farming input cost while increasing yield and purchase price, making rice farming a sustainable livelihood.

Siam Organic is currently working with over 2,500 farming households who are earning 14 times higher income than the average Thai rice farmer; the farmer’s’ daily income has risen from USD 0.40 to USD 6. In addition to generating positive impact on household incomes, health conditions of farmers and their families have improved from the consumption of the nutritious Jasberry rice that they grow.
