Mobilising Partnerships and Philanthropy to Build Resilient Communities in Asia Pacific: Roundtable Insights Report captures key learnings from a convening co-hosted by AVPN and WWF to advance the integration of climate, nature, and community resilience across Asia Pacific. Bringing together over 100 leaders from philanthropy, investment, policy, and conservation, the report explores how Nature-based Solutions (NbS) can reduce disaster risks, sustain livelihoods, and strengthen climate adaptation. It identifies persistent barriers—financial, institutional, communication, and community-level—that hinder NbS adoption and offers actionable opportunities to unlock their potential.
The report highlights the pivotal role of philanthropy as a cohesive, patient, and catalytic force that can build enabling environments, shape policy, and unlock blended finance for long-term resilience. Case studies such as the Recharge Pakistan initiative and the Building Climate Resilient Communities (BCRC) programme illustrate how cross-sector collaboration can deliver scalable, people-centred climate action. Ultimately, the report provides a roadmap for philanthropists, governments, and practitioners to mainstream nature into climate strategies, invest flexibly, and co-create systemic solutions that strengthen both communities and ecosystems across the Asia Pacific region.
