The Mobile for Good Awards is a flagship initiative of the Vodafone Foundation in India that recognizes and supports emerging talent and innovative mobile solutions from NGOs/NFPs that facilitate community empowerment and inclusive growth. Through the M4G Awards, the Vodafone Foundation’s vision is, “Recognizing innovative solutions for mobilizing social change in India”.
The Mobile for Good Awards 2016 is looking for social innovators to develop innovative mobile solutions that address critical issues in the following areas:
- Health
- Education
- Women Empowerment & Inclusive Development
- Agriculture & Environment
- Government Solutions (only for Government Organizations)
The awards consists of two categories, namely namely ‘Leading Change Maker – NPO Category’ and ‘Leading Change Maker – For profit category’.
6 winners of the NPO category (excluding government solutions) will receive INR 1,500,000 (fifteen lakh rupees) each, over a period of one year to fund their projects. The will also gain access to structured mentoring, monitoring, and impact evaluation support from credible institutions, incubators etc. to upscale and build greater capacity of their projects. Winners of the “For Profit” category will receive a certificate and a souvenir from the Vodafone Foundation. All M4G Awards winners and finalists will also get a chance to display their unique innovations in the recently launched Social App Hub.
