NASSCOM Social Innovation Forum (NSIF) is a ‘Tech for Good’ platform that aims to drive technology led innovation for the Base of the Pyramid (BoP) population, by developing solutions to address gaps in key developmental areas and foster inclusive growth.
Owing to the pervasive nature of Information Communication Technology (ICT), its application is being seen across all sectors to provide valuable solutions to problems of social development – to build more effective processes, better products and tools. It is this potential of ‘technology for good’ that NASSCOM Social Innovation Forum aims to capture.
Earlier known as the NASSCOM Social Innovation Honours, the program was instituted by NASSCOM Foundation in 2008, and has attracted more than 1,000 innovative projects from NGOs, corporate, social enterprises, government bodies, PSUs, students and individuals. Access to clean drinking water for several hundred thousand, saving hundreds of baby girls, giving access to financial services, empowering women and children alike, and bridging market gaps for farmers are some of the award winning projects in NASSCOM Foundation’s network.
