Philanthropy’s response to COVID-19 across North Asia
COVID-19 started its spread in Asia as we entered into the new decade. Since then, it has become a global pandemic. In response to the constantly evolving situation, grantmakers have been collectively scaling innovative and impactful solutions to mitigate the impact of the virus.
The virtual convening:
- Explored the diverse roles that grantmakers in the region can play to address the COVID-19 pandemic;
- Shared examples of how they have responded to the outbreak, ranging from preparedness, response and mitigation;
- Heard from voices on-the-ground and discuss how best to address upcoming challenges and reduce post-outbreak implications.
This webinar was part of a series organised by AVPN to showcase how a wide range of stakeholders comprising grantmakers, impact investors and corporations can respond to the global pandemic effectively.
