Share

Making decisions about which non-profits or social enterprises to support can sometimes be complex.  What criteria should be used to select the organization? What are some of the KPIs that should be used to measure their impact?  Funders and resource providers often have a hard time selecting which organizations to support.

Epic Foundation will be sharing their experience selecting their global portfolio of 20 organization from a pool of 1400 applications from 85 countries.  The portfolio organizations work across four sectors within the field of child and youth-related causes: Health, Education, Rights and Protection, and Economic Empowerment. The portfolio has a global reach with organizations based in East Africa, Brazil, Western Europe, India, Southeast Asia and the United States.

The OECD Development Centre’s Network of Foundations Working for Development (netFWD) will provide their insights on how other foundations are selecting grantees and their view on Epic’s approach. Lastly, M’lop Tapang, one of the grantees who recently participated in Epic Foundation’s selection process will share their perspectives and experience as an applicant.
