AVPN Webinar: Enhancing Support for Social Purpose Organizations in SEA 

Social Purpose Organizations (SPOs) are facing a multitude of challenges at this unprecedented time to sustain their operations so that they can continue serving their communities. It is even more pertinent that we explore ways in which we can work closely with our members to support SPOs’ work together.

As a trusted network, AVPN Deal Share is committed to help our members maximize their impact in deploying capital. The webinar showcased how we support members and their SPOs in SEA, in particular:

  1. Demonstrated how members can source for quality projects to deploy financial and non financial resources
  2. Explored how members can support their portfolio of SPOs through virtual and in-person convening
  3. Showcased landscape of COVID 19 initiatives that members can explore supporting


A. Environmental Stewardship
To protect the environment, we organize programmes like mangrove nursery and Reforestation, Coastal and River Clean-Up, Community Based Environmental Solid Waste Management, Environmental IEC Campaign and Eco-Academy

B. Food Security and Sustainable Livelihood
To ensure a sustainable livelihood for the community, eco-tourism include Buhatan River Cruise Visitor Center Buhatan River Mangrove Boardwalk are run by the community. Others include Organic Vegetable and Root crops Farming, Vegetable and Root crops Chips and by-products Processing and establishing a Zero waste store.

C. Empowered Communities
To empower the community, we provide product and Agri-Enterprise Development Training, Immersion and Learnings Exchange Program, Earth Warrior Training and Community Based Social Entrepreneurship Training
