Types of services that can support women entrepreneurs can be capacity-building in nature, for example, facilitate credit checks for women entrepreneurs, and offer incubation and acceleration services etc.

BACKGROUND AND DETAILS

WEP is a platform aimed at addressing the key challenges faced by Women Entrepreneurs. It has 4 major verticals:

  • Incubation and acceleration

WEP offers incubation and acceleration support to women founded/co-founded startups through its various partners who handhold WEP registrants and provide them support services which help them scale.

  • Compliances

WEP has partnered with organisations to offer compliance services to the registered users. The intent is to enable women entrepreneurs with the necessary tools to furnish accounts, adhere to legal compliances and register their respective legal entities.

  • Financial Assistance

Through its partners, WEP offer number of financial assistance services to WEP registrants for free of cost or at discounted rates. These support services include access to seed capital, growth capital, knowledge about relevant schemes and grants through WEP Knowledge Bank, Line of Credit support and Non-credit support to WEP registrants.

  • Marketing and Networking

WEP through its number of partners such as Facebook, offers marketing and networking support to early stage as well as established startups founded/co-founded by women entrepreneurs and help them in forward as well as backward linkages, helping them connect with the market and scale up their businesses.



PARTNERS ENGAGED

WEE Foundation and Access Livelihood Consulting India: Offer incubation and acceleration support to help registered women entrepreneurs scale

ICAI and ICSI: Offer compliance services to registered users, to enable women entrepreneurs to adhere to legal compliances and register their respective legal entities

CRISIL, SIDBI, NBFCS (such as SREI, IndiaBulls and SEWA): Offer financial assistance services to WEP registrants at no cost/discounted cost. Support services include access to seed capital, growth capital, knwoeldge about relevant schemes and grants through WEP Knowledge Bank, Line of Credit support and Non-credit support to WEP registrants.
