About

Ayesha Khan is development economist with over 20 years of experience in programme management and policy design, research and analysis, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, and resource mobilization and project management. She has worked for interventions and assignments funded by the European Union, World Bank, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, DFID, RNE, and the Danish Embassy. Her primary focus area is poverty alleviation. She has worked in thematic areas such as microfinance, enterprise and skills development, and gender equal development. She is an active member of the Pakistan Society for Development Economics, the Economic Freedom Network, Elimination of Violence Against Women Alliance (EVAW), and Women's Action Forum. She is also co-founder of the Pakistan Evaluation Network (PEN), a member of the International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE). Khan holds a Master?s in International Political Economy (majoring in Public Policy) from Warwick University, UK and an MBA in Financial Analysis and Project Management. She authored several noted publications, received numerous certifications and diplomas, and participated in several trainings. At the Hashoo Foundation, Khan performs the dual roles of Pakistan Country Director and Vice President of the Corporate Social Responsibility body of the Hashoo Group. She is responsible for strategic leadership and the implementation of Hashoo Foundation programmes across Pakistan as well as across global chapters in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Tajikistan. She represents the Hashoo Foundation at local and government levels as well as international organizations, and has a leading role in developing, overseeing, implementing, reviewing, and monitoring the strategic plan of the foundation and its sister organizations/affiliates. She is responsible for developing new programme initiatives and new partnerships, as well as maintaining existing partnerships. She actively provides strategic direction to ongoing programmes, especially to ensure a sustainable phasing out of projects/programmes.
