As a trustee of Tanoto Foundation, Belinda guides the strategic direction of the organization. Through her decade-long work with the Foundation, Belinda has seen first-hand that education is the single most effective way to reduce poverty and improve the lives of children and families in developing countries. 

A passionate social activist, Belinda has been spearheading the foundation?s investments in rural schools in Indonesia since 2009, specifically in school leadership, teacher training and literacy. She believes that nobody knows teaching like teachers and the greatest innovations over the next decade in education will come from classroom teachers and educators on the ground. 

Tanoto Foundation seeks to alleviate poverty through education, empowerment and enhancement of lives. To date, the Foundation has provided over 20,000 scholarships and trained more than 4,000 teachers.

Belinda received her bachelor?s degree Magna Cum Laude in Finance and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. She is a Global Shaper with World Economic Forum and a mentor with HBS Club of Singapore.
