Charlie Hartono is a seasoned Social Impact Leader with 15+ years of experience in corporate partnerships, business development, and digital transformation across the profit and non-profit sectors. He is a dynamic global leader with a proven track record of managing projects in complex and ever-changing environments. Driven by his passion for social good, Charlie began his career at UNICEF in 2010, where he worked as part of the Private Fundraising Partnerships team. In 2017, he joined the UNICEF Global Innovation Center to lead the launch of U-Report and the Internet of Good Things in Malawi, South-East Africa. In 2019, he continued his work in the non-profit sector as Digital, Partnerships, and Innovation Director at World Vision Indonesia, where he managed the country's digital transformation strategy. From 2021 to 2022, Charlie was assigned to the Youth Engagement team at the UNICEF Division of Global Communication and Advocacy (DGCA) at UNICEF Headquarters in New York, where he provided support to over 90 U-Report countries. Prior to his impact-focused experience, Charlie held various positions in multinational enterprises such as Viamo, Mastercard, IBM, and Amway, primarily in business development. In addition to his professional work, he is also actively supporting: - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia to connect the private sector with the Kampus Merdeka Program. - NZID.org - an alumni organization that aims to bring a positive impact to the continuous relationship between New Zealand and Indonesia. - The Coalition of Digital Prosperity Asia to democratize digital technologies across all sectors in APAC through good tech policy. Charlie holds a Master's Degree in International Business from the University of Auckland and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Trisakti School of Management.
