About

Donna Tang joined The Hong Kong Jockey Club in 2000. She served in the business development functions before she took up her role in the Club’s Charities Trust in 2012. Donna is responsible for planning and recommending funding strategies and new Charities project initiatives, and driving the implementation of Trust projects to create impact to society.  Her major focus areas are Sports and Culture, to promote sports and arts to different segments in the community through innovative approaches and collaboration among various stakeholders, and to develop initiatives to support elite athletes development in Hong Kong.  Latest addition to Donna’s portfolio is the newly established Institute of Philanthropy (IoP), a think-fund-do tank providing a dependable source of philanthropic knowledge and sector-wide infrastructure and standards development in China, Asia and beyond.  IoP also aims to work together with fellow foundations and other institutions to co-create impactful initiatives for the betterment of
societies.
 
Donna obtained her Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science from the Queen’s University in Canada and a Master Degree in Urban Planning from The University of Hong Kong.
