Kasia Weina has extensive experience and education in research and project management with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, masters of science in drug discovery from University College London and a PhD in Molecular Biology with a focus on cancer research from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. She has worked in various laboratories in different countries including in a small biotech firm outside Cambridge, UK and the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg, Germany. After her PhD and a Postdoc period, she co-founded her first startup focused on designing & producing eco-friendly products in Hong Kong. In spring 2016, she co-founded Evergreen Labs, a social and environmental project development company. Kasia is the director and she oversees all pre-incubation projects from idea validation and technology, marketing and design support while simultaneously applying a scientific approach to sustainable business development.
