Ms Kitty Yam is Associate Vice President (Institutional Advancement) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She joined PolyU in September 2010 as Director of Alumni Affairs and Development. She is responsible for enhancing relationships and collaboration between the University and its alumni and donors so as to garner support for the sustainable development of the University. She is also in charge of raising funds and other resources to meet the various needs of the University in enhancing campus facilities, advancing research and nurturing students.

Ms Yam has over 20 years' experience in public relations and fund raising. Before her migration to overseas in 2008, she was Head of Fund Raising for the Hong Kong Po Leung Kuk, steering the strategic focuses and building the capabilities of the organization's fund raising initiatives. She formulated plans and designed various types of fund raising schemes and activities to support the rapid growth of the organization and its very considerable spending on a diversified range of social welfare, educational and recreational services.

Ms Yam received her Master of Public Administration from The University of Hong Kong, Master of Science in Marketing Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professional Diploma in Corporate Administration from City University of Hong Kong, and Bachelor of Arts from The University of Hong Kong.
