Mark has over twenty years of experience in private equity investment gained in ASEAN and China countries. He joined UOBVM in 1996 and, now as Executive Director, is responsible for fund raising, deal sourcing, investment execution, monitoring and divestment. In addition to leading due diligence and working closely with portfolio companies, he has served on the board of public listed and private companies such as Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, Mermaid Maritime, Consciencefood Holding (PT Olagafood), Sunvic Chemical, Tiong Woon Corporation and others. 

Prior to joining UOBVM, Mark spent six years in corporate finance, working for Smith Barney Shearson, HG Asia (Singapore) Pte Ltd and N M Rothschild & Sons (Singapore) Ltd, where he advised clients in Asia and China on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, equity fund raising and initial public offerings. Mark started his career in the audit division of Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants in New Zealand. 

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in Accounting and Marketing from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
