Mark joined raiSE Singapore (Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise, www.raise.sg) to manage and grow their investment portfolio. The portfolio encompasses a number of loans to and investments in social enterprises. He will spend 50% of his time in this new role, helping to scale social enterprises.

The remainder of Mark’s time is spent to manage his family office direct investment portfolio, an advocate for impact investments in Asia through participation in the Toniic community and as a part-time consultant at Empact (a Singaporean based social enterprise) providing ‘CFO-type’ services to Empact’s clients.

Mark has over 5 years experience in private equity following his 15 years experience in investment banking. Mark was head of a China-Australia team for an Australian private equity company, based in Beijing. Mark’s investment banking experience has been with leading firms such as Macquarie Bank, ABN AMRO, and Babcock & Brown, and has led large and small transaction teams across a number of industry sectors and in many jurisdictions, including Australia, the United States and China.

Mark has, and continues to be, involved in assisting charitable organisations, mentoring emerging entrepreneurs, and advising and supporting a range of social enterprises. Mark is a Board Member of Halogen Foundation, a Singapore IPC charity.
