Michael is Partner and Co-Head of Asia at LeapFrog Investments. LeapFrog Investments is a specialist investor in emerging markets, seeking the growth opportunity presented by two billion emerging consumers in Africa and Asia.

With over 20 years? experience in healthcare operations, consulting and investing, Michael co-leads LeapFrog in South and Southeast Asia. Michael has led several of LeapFrog?s landmark investments, including an investment into Reliance Capital Management in Indonesia, a diversified financial services group, and one of Indonesia?s largest insurers.

The former Country Head for India for Khazanah Nasional, Malaysia?s sovereign fund, Michael led the global healthcare team, also focusing on financial services and infrastructure.

Michael was responsible for over $700 million of investments in India, across hospitals, diagnostic clinics and medical education. He transformed Khazanah?s healthcare investments consolidating them under a single platform, Integrated Healthcare Holdings (IHH), which was listed in July 2012 Singapore and Malaysia for US$7 billion.

Previously, Michael led the $250 million global CRAMS business for the Piramal Healthcare Group, focusing on global acquisitions, business development, supply chain management and talent.

Prior to Piramal, Michael was a Partner at McKinsey & Co and served as a member of the global leadership group for the Healthcare & Pharmaceutical practice.
