Marie Rosencrantz, Adjunct Associate Professor, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), has more than 20 years of experience in management consulting, ESG / CSR, development finance / impact investing, diplomacy, and teaching / training. She currently teaches courses in Social Entrepreneurship & Venture Philanthropy and CSR Management at the HKUST Business School. Marie Rosencrantz worked as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co, helped launch the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria as its first manager for strategy & policy, worked for the World Bank in Washington, Morocco and Indonesia, and was the senior advisor for ESG & impact measurement for the UK development finance institution CDC. In 2010, her consulting firm Rosencrantz & Co developed CDCs Toolkit on ESG for Fund Managers and the associated ESG training program for private equity funds. Rosencrantz & Co currently provides strategic advice and training to private and public sector clients. Marie Rosencrantz was also a diplomat with the Swedish Foreign Service, with postings to Colombia, the OECD, and Italy, where she served as the Swedish Trade Commissioner and head of the Swedish Trade Council / Business Sweden team and office in Milan. Marie Rosencrantz currently serves as a member of the Hong Kong board and program committee of EMpower, the emerging markets foundation, and the advisory board for the social enterprise TwoPresents. She was previously a board member with Charity Rating. Marie Rosencrantz has a MBA degree from INSEAD, a M.Sc. degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, and an Economics B.A. degree from Stanford University.
