Peng T. Ong is Chairman of Solve Education! (SE!) and a key figure in the development of SE!. Peng shapes SE!’s mission and gives guidance on the organisation strategies and path.
 
Professionally, Peng is a well-known venture capitalist (Monk's Hill Ventures), philanthropist, and a long-time supporter of education. He believes that business should be socially responsible and impactful, and philanthropy should recognize complex socioeconomic challenges which can’t be solely addressed by government or by businesses.
 
Peng has devoted a significant of time to support philanthropic activities. Those include Solve Education! (SE!) which focuses on providing mass customization of education via a mobile platform, Computer Science Leadership (CSL) Scholarship which focuses on providing financial aid and leadership mentorship for computer science students in Indonesia, and Endeavour Indonesia which focuses on funding and providing business mentorship for entrepreneurs.
 
Having broad professional experience, Peng has founded various tech companies worldwide including Match.com, Interwoven and Encentuate. He has also sat on the boards of YY Inc, SingTel, and others. He was awarded the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Engineering's Alumni Award for Distinguished Service. 
 
Peng was born and raised in Singapore. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and received his Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
