Peter Witton is a co-founder and director of Anthem Asia, an independent investment and advisory group building sustainable businesses in Myanmar. He is an operational partner advising several of the groupâ??s portfolio companies.

Mr Witton has extensive experience in corporate communications, investor relations, marketing, public relations, publishing and journalism, humanitarian and development communications. Before joining Anthem Asia, Mr. Witton led Asia-Pacific communications for a global housing not-for-profit, Habitat for Humanity International. Previously, he was regional vice president for US public relations firm Ruder Finn Asia; earlier, he owned a communications agency and publishing house in Hong Kong.

Mr. Witton has devised and led strategic and tactical communications and marketing plans for commercial and not-for-profit clients throughout Asia. His clients have come from the worlds of banking and finance, pharmaceuticals and health care; telecommunications and IT companies. He has particular experience in handling communications following humanitarian disasters and corporate crises. His expertise encompasses editorial, design and production for online and offline media; media-skills training; and acting as a spokesperson.

Trained on British newspapers, Mr. Witton held senior editorial roles on news and business publications in the Middle East, Singapore and Hong Kong. He was editor of Asian Business and deputy business editor of Far Eastern Economic Review. He published business guides and newsletters on Vietnam and Indochina.

He holds a masterâ??s degree in mass communications from the University of Leicester and is a graduate of the University of Kent at Canterbury. Mr. Witton formerly chaired the board of Habitat for Humanity China.
