Roy Kuan is the Managing Director of Generation Management Ltd., a private family investment office. Mr. Kuan also serves as a board director or advisor for several private companies including Food Union Enterprises, e-Broker China, and NPX Education.  Mr. Kuan formerly was a Managing Partner at CVC Capital Partners, one of the world?s largest private equity firms with total funds committed of US$120 billion.  Over 20 years at CVC, Mr. Kuan co-led four fundraisings totalling US$11 billion, the expansion of 7 offices, and building a team of over 50 professionals. Mr. Kuan has served on the boards of 19 portfolio companies, across the Consumer/Retail, Telecom, Business Services, and Industrial sectors.  He has also a member of the board of directors of the CVC Group and the Asia Investment and Portfolio Committees.  Prior to CVC, Mr. Kuan worked at Citigroup?s Asian private equity investment division. 

Mr. Kuan received his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.  He earned his BA degree from Georgetown University, where he was a George F. Baker Scholar.  Mr. Kuan also serves on the Wharton School?s Asia Executive Board, and is a board director of Social Impact Partners, a venture philanthropy fund in Hong Kong.
